General

  • How long does it take to get the photos?

    • The online gallery takes approximately 3 weeks from the date of the wedding to be available for viewing. Proof Books take up to 4 weeks for final delivery. Wedding Albums will arrive 4-6 weeks after the approval of the album design. A DVD with all the wedding images will be given along with the album, or 3 months after the wedding date if album has not been approved or if there is no album in the package.
  • How many photos will I get from you?

    • Between 2 photographers we literally take thousands of photos on the day of a wedding.  We then hand select and edit our favorite moments into a collection that reflects the entire day.  On a disk you will receive a minimum of 75 fully edited images for every hour that we are shooting.  For example, for 4 hours of coverage you will get approximately 300 photos, 6 hours 450 photos, or 8 hours a minimum of 600 photos.
  • What resolution are the photos you provide?

    • The DVD we provide you with the photos will have all of the images at 400px x 600px 72dpi so they are ready for you to share with your family and friends online.  We will also include photos in a separate folder sized at 1200px x 1800px 300dpi which are sized for making 4"x6" prints if you would like.  If you require resolutions higher than that for specific images, please contact us.  Depending on the camera your photo was shot with, we will have your image in a resolution as high as 21.1 megapixels.
  • Do you work with other photographers?

    • Because we are a photography team, the only photographers you will ever work with will be Mary Redente and Brian Espinosa.  We always work together on every photo session and our range of skills and perspective will provide complete coverage of your day.
  • Do you charge for travel?

    • Travel within the Bay Area and Sacramento region is included in our packages.  We are also available for destination weddings and can give you a custom travel quote based on a location outside of our home region.
  • Can I see a complete, unedited wedding shoot?

    • Absolutely!  If you click on the 'Prints' page on our website, you'll be able to see complete coverage of our weddings through our online gallery.  These are also the images you will find in our Proof Books, as they are all the photos from the day that we share with you.
  • Are you comfortable with providing direction?

    • Due to our photojournalistic approach, much of the time we want you to just be in the moment, not posing, allowing things to unfold naturally.  However, if we see that a bit of direction can enhance a shot, we are experts at providing such guideance.  As working with people is a primary part of a photographers day, this is something we have extensive experience with, and find that our laid back approach helps people to feel at ease in front of the camera.  When working with large groups we are quick and efficient at wrangling the troops so that they can get back to the party.
  • Can we arrange to do an engagement shoot first?

    • We highly recommend having an engagement session first as a way for us to all become aquainted and comfortable with eachother.  This will help you to be more relaxed on your wedding day and will additionally give you a stunning selection of photos of you and your love.
  • How long have you been shooting weddings?

    • Collectively we have over 17 years of photographic experience.  Mary has been shooting weddings since 2005 and teamed up with Brian in 2009.  If you check out our Bio's on the About Us page, you will find a full discription of our backgrounds.
  • Can you describe your photographic style?

    • We have combined our different photographic backgrounds into something we like to call 'Artistic Storytelling'.  Mary brings to the table a strong influence in Fine Art and Photojournalism, and Brian's photography background stems from Fashion, Portraiture and Landscape.  Together we have an artistic, candid, photojournalistic approach.

Photo Albums

  • Can I add pages to my photo album?

    • Our photo albums are fully custom, so once they are created, there is no way to add pages to your album afterwards.  However, we can add pages to your album when we are creating it if you want to have more pages in your album than we already offer with your package.
  • How do the photos for my album get selected?

    • You can choose all of the photos, leave the selection to us or a combination the two.  If going through the hundreds of images that you will have to choose from is overwhelming, you can leave the selection of album images to us.  You will always be able to view a digital proof of the book before it is printed, and can easily make any desired changes.

The proof book will have all the images from the day and can be used to select the ones for your main album. Images for the main album will be additionally post processed so that you are left with a stunning printed album of your day.
